Scope and content
Negative of a photographic postcard showing a street scene in Freewater, Oregon, known today as Milton-Freewater. Taken from the middle of the street. Businesses line both sides of the street and there are signs for a Shell gas station, a Ford service station, the Ideal Bakery, Craver's Pastime, and more. Automobiles are parked in the street and pedestrians walk on the sidewalks. Handwriting on negative reads, "Street Scene - Freewater, Oregon. Ellis 2232." Handwritten note on envelope indicates this was taken in 1945.
