Photograph of tulips in a pot sitting on a lawn. A tag and prize ribbon are attached to the plant. Text is partially visible on the ribbon; it reads: “Prize / Portland Flower and Garden Show / 1931.” This photograph, along with image No. 371N3453, was published on Page 1 of the Oregon Journal on May 3, 1931. The photographs were published under the headline “At the Garden Show in Laurelhurst.” This photograph had the following caption information: “White tulips in a royal blue porcelain vase are something to conjure with, visitors at the garden show learn.” The photographs accompanied a story about the Portland Flower and Garden Show titled: “Beauty Marks Garden Show Held by Club.” The show was put on by the Portland Garden Club and the Portland parks bureau.
