Powell, Joab and Ann (Beeler)

Reverend Joab and his wife, Ann(a) (Beeler) Powell, who arrived from Missouri on October 10, 1852, with their 14 children in all, some having been born in Tennessee and others in Jackson County, Missouri. They founded the Providence Church in Linn County. He was known to be an eccentric preacher, but was hailed as a "good man."
