Cased photograph featuring a portrait of an older man wearing suit and facing to the right of the camera. Handwritten note enclosed with the image reads, "Dr. Bennet Tyler was first president of the East Windsor Seminary in Connecticut (now Hartford Theological Seminary) and successor to Dr. Edward Payson in Portland, Maine, Second Parish Church. He baptized Elizabeth Payson (Howe) around 1835." An overmat under the cover glass on the lower right reads, "Cone, Artist." Case is made of wood and leather.
