Biographical history

Marjorie Forbes Skene Wright (1920-2012) was born in Portland, Oregon. She lived in the gatehouse of Pittock Mansion from 1920 to 1945, where her father worked as head gardener. She worked at the main office of U.S. National Bank in Portland where she was a supervisor in the commercial banking division for 25 years.
