Scope and content

Photograph of six unidentified men and horses in a row. Each man is standing next to a horse and is holding the horse’s lead rope or bridle. The man on the far right is holding a trophy; he may be Luther Harrel, a horse breeder from Ellensburg, Washington. A word that appears to be “Shattuck” is written on the negative and is visible in the lower right corner of the image. The photograph may have been taken at the annual Pacific International Livestock Exposition in Portland. Also see image Nos. 374N1104, 374N1106, 374N1171, 374N1173, and 374N1187.
