Kamm, Captain Jacob

Captain Jacob Kamm, pioneer of 1850, and an early Oregon river transportation developer. He was one of the early stockholders in the Oregon Steam Navigation Company (1860-1880). He married Caroline Augusta Gray and built a large home in 1872 in the Goose Hollow neighborhood in Portland, which was later (1950) moved to accommodate the new Lincoln High School facility.
