Photograph of the interior of a bedroom on the Empire Builder train, operated by the Great Northern Railroad. A mirror hangs on the door to the bedroom. Its reflection shows a young woman sitting in the bedroom and reading. Typed note on the back of the print reads, "Portion of a bedroom on the Empire Builder, Great Northern streamliner. These rooms, like the duplex roomettes, are individually heated and cooled through conveniently located thermostatic controls. A wardrobe is at the aisle side. Ice water is on tap, in addition to conventional hot and cold running water. From: Public Relations Dept., Great Northern Ry., St. Paul, Minn." Stamp on back for Hedrich-Blessing Studio. Second stamp reads, "Great Northern Railway Photo, Credit line will be appreciated."
