The back of the map is a pamphlet titled, "Map and Short Story of the Pacific Northwest embracing Oregon Washington Idaho." The pamphlet contains information about various aspects of the region, including climate, agriculture, mining, lumber, and schools and churches. Inset maps include the route of the Oregon Short Line Railroad and a bird's-eye view of the Lewis and Clark Exposition Grounds.
