Photograph, taken from the front, showing two harnessed mules and men with shovels on a partially snow-covered road with deep snowbanks on either side. The photograph may have been taken during efforts to clear the Columbia River Highway in February 1922. Mule teams were used to haul away blocks of snow and ice.
