Farmer Louie Williams rides a carrot digger at the Helms and Williams farm outside West Stayton, Oregon. Williams constructed this piece of machinery with M. C. Helms, the co-owner of the farm. He has just been named "Grower of the Month" by the Opportunity News. Photographs from this series were published in the Valley Migrant League's Opportunity News on October 22, 1965.
