Handwritten captions on the front of the page read, "Fort Crook, Shasta County, California," and, "Photographed by Dr. Edward Perry Vollum an associate of Lt. Lorenzo Lorain." Handwritten captions on the back of the page read, "Corral, Fort Crook, Cal." and, "Officer Quarters at Fort Crook, Cal."

S.S. Great Northern and S.S. Northern Pacific

Photograph of a painting depicting 2 ships sailing side by side. The ships are the S.S. Great Northern and the S.S. Northern Pacific. Both ships were built by the Great Northern Pacific Steam Ship Company for the SP&S Railway. They served to transport passengers and freight between terminals in Astoria, Oregon and San Francisco, California. Handwritten note on the back of the print reads, "Twin palaces of the Pacific. Great Northern and Northern Pacific, owned by GNPSS Co. Sister."

Posed photograph of the crew of the electric shop at the Tule Lake Relocation Center, taken September 12, 1945. Jerry Jiro Yasutome stands in the back row, fourth from left. A sign in front of the group reads: Electrical Department, Warehouse 348. A list of names on the back of the photograph identifies each crew member. The Tule Lake Relocation Center was one of ten American concentration camps to which Japanese Americans were forcibly removed and incarcerated.
