Portland Rose Festival Float with large ski jump structure

Photograph showing a flower adorned float at the 1951 Portland Rose Festival at Multnomah Stadium, with the large wooden ski jump structure in the background (at 155 feet high, the structure was built to celebrate the upcoming 1952 Oslo Winter Olympic Games). Rose Festival parade marching groups

A view of the Portland Rose Festival parade, in downtown Portland, likely taken near S.W. 6th Avenue and S.W. Yamhill Street. A military band can be seen marching down the street, between crowds, in front of a float for “Navy Pioneer Electronics.” The central bus depot can be seen on the left side of the street, as well a small portion of the Pioneer Courthouse building (negative 1 of 26).
