Drawing of the cross section of the Steamship Hassalo, constructed circa 1850-1888. Drawing includes the cabin, skylight, freight deck, state rooms, and gangways. Plans were drawn or collected by L. C. Hosford. It is unknown whether the plans are original drawings or later reproductions.

Bethel, Mo. 1850. This picture taken in Missouri in 1860. She was 10. Grandmother of Eugene E. Snyder." Conservation records indicate a photographer's imprint which reads, "Aurora, Ore." Accompanying notes state that this print was generated circa 1880's or 1890's, possibly as a replacement for the original image. Case is made of wood and pressed paper.

Legacy collection records identify the first man as James Birnie, but the contemporary inscription on the back of the photograph identifies the man as Alex Birnie.
