Keenwood Ranch orchard, Silverton, Oregon

Rows of fruit trees laden with light-colored flowers in an orchard. Keenwood Ranch was started in 1919 by a Silverton physician, Dr. C.W. Keene, and M.C. Woodard, the head of Silver Falls Timber Company. It was located on 125 acres on Eureka Avenue and sold in 1950.

Tape 1, Side 1. This oral history interview with Margaret M. Cabell was conducted by Thomas Vaughan on August 31, 1979, as part of the Oregon Historical Society Research Library's oral history program.

In this interview, Cabell shares her memories of visiting the ranch owned by her grandfather, Thomas Burgess, in Bakeoven, Oregon. She discusses riding a stagecoach from Portland to Bakeoven, talks about the general store her grandfather ran, and speaks about daily life on the ranch. She looks at photographs of the Bakeover area and talks about them.

Plan; section; and front, rear, and end elevations for Spokane, Portland, and Seattle Railway's Nehalem Boom Company office building (sheet number CC-274). The Nehalem Boom Company was acquired by the Spokane, Portland, and Seattle Railway in 1921. A pencil note on the sheet states that the building was not built.

East and south elevations for a conductor's room and superintendent's office at the Portland Railway, Light, and Power Company's Piedmont car barn (sheet number DD 330). The building was located north of N. Killingsworth between N. Michigan and N. Mississippi Avenues in Portland. A note in the bottom right-hand corner reads, "(This drwg supersedes CD 86 of unknown date)."

First and second floor plans, front and side elevations, and section for a Portland Railway, Light, and Power Company section house at Mayberry and Eagle Creek (sheet number DD 331). "Mayberry" may refer to the Mabery station on the PRL&P Mt. Hood route that ran between Gresham and Bull Run; Mabery was roughly parallel to the Eagle Creek station on the Faraday Route between Gresham and Cazadero.
