Search for kidnapper of George Brice

The Jay W. Stevens disaster car, acting as a command center after the attempted kidnapping of 9-year-old George Brice from his third grade classroom at the Caitlin-Hillside school in at 651 N.W. Culpepper Terrace. People stand outside the open door of the vehicle, which is parked next to an automobile and motorcycle. Police undertook a man-hunt for the suspect in the west hills of Portland. This photograph was published in the Oregon Journal on Saturday, March 20, 1954 (negative 4 of 12).
