A group of children sit on wooden boards in the back of a bus that transported them and their families from Texas to Oregon for work. They are the children of migrant farm workers and remember the long journey earlier in the year. Photographs from this series were published in the Valley Migrant League's Opportunity News on July 8, 1966.

The bus was donated by the owner of the Anderson Ranch to transport the children of migrant workers to and from a daycare center at the Knox Butte School. This image was published in the Valley Migrant League's Opportunity News on July 22, 1966.

The Oregonian newspaper, which published a story on September 20, 1927, reported that after the ceremony, city council members and Southern Pacific office staff took a short ride around Portland on the new buses.
