Five young women, all members of the Portland Water Ski Club, practice their water skiing routine on the Willamette River on January 1, 1959. They wear long-sleeved jackets and shorts as they lift their arms over their heads. Pictured from left to right are Betty Davis, Darlene Kasner, Verna Williams, Eleanor Stoddard and Ellen Haynes.
