In the background, more rocky cliffs can be seen, as well as a road and electrical lines. Written on the side of the negative is "49-170." Latourell Falls viewed from the Columbia River Highway, after logging operations removed trees in the area. A truck is parked in a dirt lot in front of the walls, which can be seen behind a hillside. Photograph taken as part of a series documenting the effort of the Portland Women’s Forum, Save the Gorge committee, to curtail logging in the area. This photograph was published in the Oregon Journal on Sunday, April 6, 1952 (negative 3 of 23).
