Eleven photos show scenes from in and around Camp 7-Mile Hill, including the hospital and officer's tents, a meat cooler, and Mt. Washington. Camp personnel shown include Lieutenant W.D. Darling, Infantry Reserve; Captain Gist; Major M.A.S. Ming; and 1st Lieutenant Sante D. Caniparoli, Medical Reserve Corps.
A notice instructing all persons who want to go to Quartzville to meet at the courthouse. Quartzville was located in the mountains of eastern Linn County.
This collection is comprised of two (2) daguerreotypes showing portraits of brothers Thomas and Walter Monteith, who founded the town of Albany, Oregon, circa 1849. They traveled to Oregon from New York in 1847 and settled adjacent land claims, sharing a house which straddled the two claims.
