Buildings and automobiles on Front Avenue

Front Avenue looking south from under the Burnside Bridge, Oct. 18, 1938. The two buildings visible were, from left, the Johnson Building and Dodd’s Block, on the east side of Front Avenue facing each other across Ankeny Street. Automobiles are parked on both sides of the street.

Eight photos show vehicles that were in use at Skinner Butte Camp. Two photos show people participating in a track and field meet for the CCC camps. Three photos depict members of the camp, including one photo of a baseball team. The members of the team are identified as Whitsell, Winkleman, Cuddebark, Brewer, Koppel, Herbert, Grable, Aason, Surcamp, Bishop, and Madison. Another member of the camp is identified as Jack "Major" Connolle.
