A number of three year old orchard on home ranch of Wm. Morginson, ten miles north of Lyle, Klickitat County, Wash. Owner made the mistake of seeding alfalfa in this orchard the first year and the alfalfa sapped the strength of the trees, killing several of them. The young trees have been re-set and in another year or two this will be one of the most beautiful orchards on top of the plateau."

Three years ago, this was an over-grown pond. Now it has been dredged out, planted in lawns and flower beds and shrubs. It lies crescent-shaped, one and one-half miles long among the residential districts of Longview, encircled by paved boulevards. The Longview Community shurch (sic) is shown reflected in its waters."
