Photograph showing a monoplane in flight above a field in northwest Portland. The plane was the "Cloud Buster Jr." build by William Bidwell at Bidwell-Yale Air Service, Guild's Lake Airport. In the background is the Montgomery Ward building on Northwest Vaughn Street. A cropped version of this photograph was used in the May 24, 1931 issue of the Oregon Journal. Image note: Photograph shows discoloration due to deterioration of the negative. Light leak on negative at lower right. See related negatives 374N0272 and 374N0274.

A photograph of the Flowers brothers with friends. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph identifies the people in the photographs from left to right as: Ervin Flowers. Elmer Flowers, Vassie Cash, Lee Hankins, and Ralph Flowers. Ervin Flowers and Ralph Flowers each hold a shotgun. A dog and a stuffed pheasant lay on the ground in front of the group.

This photograph depicts Lownsdale Fountain and Elk Statue in downtown Portland, located at Southwest 3rd and Main. An inscription at the base of the statue says "Presented to the City of Portland by David P. Thompson, A.D. 1900." The architect is listed below as "H.G. Wright."

Hotel Nortonia had two locations- first located at 1337 SW Washington Street (now Hotel Rampano). Later the owner, Mrs. A.B. Norton, used the name for the second hotel she managed, located at 409 SW 11th Avenue (now Mark Spencer Apartments). It is unclear from the image where this photo was taken.

This photograph depicts a funeral procession moving through a residential area. A horse-drawn trailer supporting several caskets is flanked by soldiers on each side. Nearby are people watching the procession. Legacy records indicate that this is a photo of a "World War I funeral with honors. Troops accompany wagon carrying 5 (?) caskets on residential street, PTLD."

Hugh D'Autremont with U. S. marshals

Hugh D'Autremont (center, also commonly spelled DeAutremont), handcuffed with two U. S. marshals arriving at the federal courthouse to face additional charges from a 1923 bombing and robbery of a Southern Pacific mail and passenger train in the Siskiyou tunnel near Ashland, Oregon. U. S. marshal Harold Sexton stands to D'Autremont's right side (negative 1 of 2).
