These are pieces of the old Morrison Bridge, which is being replaced. In the foreground, a second derrick sits on the border of the river. Five young women, all members of the Portland Water Ski Club, practice their water skiing routine on the Willamette River on January 1, 1959. They wear long-sleeved jackets and shorts as they lift their arms over their heads. Pictured from left to right are Betty Davis, Darlene Kasner, Verna Williams, Eleanor Stoddard and Ellen Haynes.
