Kent, Deborah B. (Gaddis)

Deborah Blair Gaddis (Feb. 1, 1824 - March 11, 1909), who married Horace Ayrault Kent in October 1842. Originally from New York, they came overland from Illinois in 1853 and settled in Forest Grove, then Portland, in 1855. He died in Multnomah County in 1859 and was buried in Lone Fir Cemetery. They had three children: Fannie (b. 1846), Edward Horace (b. 1849), and William Gaddis (b. 1856).

Love, Captain Lewis

Capt. Lewis Love (1818-1903), born in Chautauqua Co., NY. He married Nancy M. Griffiths in Marion Co., Illinois, in 1836. They came across the plains in 1849 and settled in what would become North Portland, near the Columbia River. He was a pioneer industrialist and land developer in Multnomah and Clark Counties, as well as a farmer, gristmill operator, lumber manufacturer, and ferry operator.

Love, Nancy M. (Griffith)

Nancy M. Griffith (1820-1892), who married Captain Lewis Love, and came to Oregon in 1849. They settled a claim up in what would become North Portland, near the Columbia River.

Morgan, Malinda Emily (Boon)

Malinda ("Minnie") Emily Boon, who was born on the Oregon Trail on September 10, 1845. She married Amos H Morgan in Salem, and they settled in Portland. They had two sons and one daughter, all of whom survived their parents. She died in Portland on December 28, 1918.

Mary Frances Slavin, born November 25, 1853, the daughter of John and Emma (Ross) Slavin. She married Richard C. Prince on February 2, 1879, in Portland. She died in June 1936.
