Rodeo Hands with Steers

Two rodeo hands ride their horses among a herd of steers at the Pendleton Round-Up in Pendleton, Oregon. They prepare for bull-dogging events by separating the steers. In the background, the tipis of the Indian Village are visible. Writing on the right side of the negative reads, "9/11/58." Cattle truck fire and round-up of scattered cows in Portland

Cattle be rounded up in Portland on S.W. Naito Parkway after a collision between after a truck loaded with seventeen head of cattle collided with an empty gasoline truck. Three cattle stand in traffic as a man prepares to throw a lasso. The Battleship Oregon Memorial can be seen on the left side of the frame. A story detailing the accident was published in the Oregon Journal on Friday, July 30, 1954 (negative 3 of 8).

Cattle truck fire and round-up of scattered cows in Portland

Cattle be rounded up after a collision between a truck carrying 17 heads of cattle and an empty gasoline truck on S.W. Harbor Drive in Portland. Several men approach the cattle with lassos, who appear to be grazing on grass in front of the Hawthorne Bridge and South Naito Parkway. A story detailing the accident was published in the Oregon Journal on Friday, July 30, 1954 (negative 8 of 8).

A parade for the 1952 Pendleton Round-Up, proceeding down South Main Street. Steers are pulling covered wagons, followed by majorettes in the distance. Spectators can be seen at either side of the street, over which several flags, and a “Lees Rider” advertisement hang. On the right side of the street is the Temple Hotel (negative 3 of 12).
