The identities of the people and the exact location in the photograph is unknown, but the photograph likely depicts members of the Coos, Lower Umpqua, Siuslaw, or Siletz peoples held at a camp on the bank of the Umpqua River on the southern border of the Coast Reservation near Fort Umpqua.
2. A hewn-log cabin on the banks of a river which was likely taken near Fort Umpqua in Douglas County, Oregon Territory.
3. An unidentified group of people standing in front of a low, hewn-log structure near Fort Umpqua in Douglas County, Oregon Territory.
