Mrs. F. Louis Stoeckle holding flowers

Photograph of a smiling woman sitting on a bench with her arms and lap full of flowers. A cropped version of this photograph was published on Page 2 of the Oregon Journal on May 5, 1931, under the headline “To Brighten Sick Rooms.” The photograph had the following caption: “Mrs. F. Louis Stoeckle and an armful of the blooms which the Plant, Fruit and Flower Guild is taking from the recent flower show in Laurelhurst park for distribution to hospitals. The flowers were part of the exhibits. They are going first to charity hospitals, then to the others.”
