According to a story in the April 8 edition of the Oregon Journal, headlined “Movieland Trio Of Pretty Girls to Take Part in Ball,” Booth and two other actresses came to Portland to participate in the Eagles’ “Movie Ball,” a charity event. Left to right—Dorothy Ford, Rose City girl and queen of the ball, and Betty Boyd, Edwina Booth and Myrna [sic] Kennedy, visitors from the movie lots, who arrived this morning to take part in the festivities.” In the same edition, the Journal also published a short story about the actresses’ visit, headlined “Movieland Trio Of Pretty Girls to Take Part in Ball.” The story reported that the ball was a charity event.
