Photograph of an explosion conducted by Portland & Seattle Railway to clear way for the construction of a railroad. The explosion appears to lift a hill as dirt and debris fly into the air. Handwritten note on the back of the print reads, "95 ton explosion, Cow Creek Wash, photo caught just as powder was lifting the hill."
